THE ANDIS EVENT CENTER
Artists are given carte blanche to use the Andis Event Center to display signature pieces for the weekend with a larger collection being on display in the Andis Tasting Room for a three month run.
Exhibit runs from February 1st - April 30, 2023
Our featured artist, Karii Rürup-Coleman is an abstract artist -
Karii paints her world as if it’s configured of tiny little pieces—stories folding and unfolding, therefore molding living things—tangible things, into more than just what we can see with the naked eye. Karii thrives on the richness of simplicity when creating art. She loves pushing her lines towards the edge, tipping over from the complexities of urban living—plunging into water, sticks and dirt.
The myriad abstract lines that comprise her work, allow the viewer to create their own experience—to play in the waves of positive and negative space. Lines turn into waves that morph into roots that transform into figures.
