Elizabeth City's second microbrewery has opened!

On the waterfront in a renovated historic building, Seven Sounds Brewing Company has been worth the wait. With gorgeous views of Elizabeth City's beautiful downtown on one side and the Pasquotank River opposite, Seven Sounds is a great spot to meet with friends and relax with a brew, enjoy live music, and more.

Seven Sounds Brewing's remodel of the 100+ year old former Hurdle Hardware building is beautiful! The first floor is the brewing and serving area and the second floor is an event space - complete with an outside deck overlooking the waterfront and the Pasquotank River.

“We really want to be part of restoring downtown Elizabeth City,” Dean Schaan, one of the owners, says, adding that Seven Sounds is passionate about craft beer and continues planning its menu.

“Seven Sounds” refers to the northeastern North Carolina communities around the Albemarle Sound and its logo is the stylized coastline of northeastern North Carolina.
