POINT is one app to volunteer for any cause.
We’re your starting point to do more good.
How does POINT work?
FOLLOW CAUSES & FIND NONPROFITS
There are 20 cause categories on POINT (think: poverty, education, homelessness, climate, etc.) and you can choose to follow any, or all, of them. Local volunteer opportunities related to the causes you pick will show up on your feed. You can also discover all the local nonprofits working for a specific cause by clicking into the icon.
VOLUNTEER AT EVENTS
Your volunteer feed is personalized based on the causes you pick, and you can filter by the times you’re free. Find an event you’re excited about? Simply tap "go” and show up. POINT will tell you all the information you need to know on the app, before you arrive.
MEET NEW PEOPLE
See who else is going to volunteer, so you know you won’t show up alone. You can meet new people from your community, or you can share the event with your squad (because hey, sometimes you need to shake things up).

This app is so close to being a wonderful useful way to connect volunteers to charities. You guys need to make it possible to filter opportunities by time. Working volunteers need that. That's vital. Second, you can filter by day but the events list only the calendar number, which is less helpful. Honestly if they added a way to sort by time, I would give this app 5 stars, but since that is such an obvious shortcoming I couldn't give it more than 3.

Hey Sarah. Thanks for getting on POINT! You are able to search by date, just click "Select Start Date" in the filter section and we'll add back in the time selection with the next update. With every new app version we are introducing new features and improving existing ones. We are sure that your feedback will only help us improve further.

The mission of this app according to the website is to support women because they say that 75% of the nonprofit workforce is women. They also directly call out underfunding of nonprofits as gender inequality. I was looking for more of a gender neutral volunteering experience.

Not a user friendly application. It is difficult to navigate. Finding the Organization and inputting volunteer hours was a miserable experience. As a Volunteer the extra time to input my hours was a fiasco.
